CYCLING 22,000-MILES TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD OBESITY

25-year-old Hispanic will reach over 500,000 youth nationwide
inspiring children of all sizes to get up, get out and lead healthier lifestyles!

On Monday, September 12, 2011, Teddy Herrera, Founder of Across America for Childhood Obesity, will embark on a 10-month, 22,000-mile bicycle tour around the nation raising awareness for childhood obesity.

With the goal of reaching 500,000 youth, Teddy will speak at over 500 elementary, middle and high schools in 100 cities nationwide, demonstrating the importance of chasing your dreams while leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Teddy’s story of determination, perseverance and success, has made him an inspirational speaker across America.
“Teddy touched upon so many crucial obstacles our youth faces today and gave them the self empowerment to overcome all of them,” said faculty member at Marple Newton High School.
Leading by example, Teddy will ride his bicycle every mile of the tour to promote health and fitness.  Families in the communities along the way often host Teddy, to increase awareness and forward his message.
